Can Walking And Standing Too Much Cause A Vein To Explode In Leg? Had Bump On Leg, Bruise, Swelling.

Can walking and standing too much
cause a vien to explode in the leg. Because earlier tonight while at work I noticed a bump on the back of my leg kinda at the top part of calf and below the bend of my knee on my right leg. When I got home I noticed I had a bruise with swelling. It doesnt hurt unless i push on it. I've never had anything like this happen before.

Prolonged standing can cause incompetence of the valves of the leg veins causing varicose veins. These are seen as prominent bumps along the path of the major superficial veins of the legs, the bruise and swelling may be due to some minor trauma to the leg.A check up by your doctor for varicose veins and their subsequent treatment will help.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Too much standing and walking can cause vericose veins. But there wont be bruise. So there may be some injury causing bruise and swelling. Keep observing it and if you feel like vein dilating and visible in legs or any ulcer in legs then this may be due to vericose vein. Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.
