Hello,
You are suffering from bruise that popped up on your leg. Before the appearance of the bruise you were experiencing pain and throbbing on the affected leg. Such symptoms are commonly due to weight changes, poor circulation,
blood clots,
varicose veins, bleeding disorders, etc. In adults, bruising occurs more easily due to thinning of the skin as we age.
You are suggested to rest as much as possible, keep your legs elevated on a stool when sitting or on a pillow when on bed. Applying ointment Thrombophob on the affected area will help the bruise to heal faster. Applying ice for up to 15 minutes will be relieving. Gently stretch and massage cramping muscles. Take medicines like
acetaminophen or ibuprofen, one SOS when required for relief.
However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get blood tests done to detect bleeding disorders like
bleeding time (BT),
platelet count,
prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT), etc. Get duplex
ultrasound scan done to detect damaged valves that are causing varicose veins. It can also detect blockages or blood clots in the deep veins(DVT). Get treated before the worsening of the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
