Can Weight Gain And Missed Period Be Pregnancy Symptoms?
Hi, I am a 22 year old woman and for the last 2 months I have not menstruated. I am sexually active however test show I am not pregnant. I am 1.67cm tall and recently found that I have put on weight very rapidly even though my eating habits have not changed. I have put on 30kg in 6 months and now weigh 90kg. Could this rapid increase in weight be the issue? I have been previously treated for stress and insomnia although the medication was stopped a while ago. I am not currently on any prescription medication. I have a regular cycle so this is a first and has me concerned.
I understood your concern and My opinion is that weight gain and missed periods are not confirmatory sign of pregnancy
if you are on doubt than you should do urine pregnancy test/ blood b-hcg to rule out pregnacy
If it comes negative than you may be having condition called PCOD
First take this medication to get periods if you are not pregnant T Regesterone 5 mg twice in a day for 5 days
If i would be a my patients than i would advise following test after getting your perids to find out cause of delayed period 1)pelvic usg 2)s LH 3)S FSH 4)S TSH 5)S PROLACTIN
I hope my answers help you Thanks
