Can Yellow Fever Vaccine Be Taken If HIV Positive?

I am HIV+ and am going to Togo and Benin in about three months. I have an undetectable viral load with a CD4 count that bounces between 600-800. About 12-14 years ago, I received a Yellow Fever Vaccine. Should I be ok to receive another one??? They are only good for 10 years.

If I am your doctor I advice you that Yellow Fever Virus Vaccine is Live Virus vaccine. Any live virus vaccine is not advised to the patient of HIV. It will get replicated and some time causes a infection as caused by real yellow fever virus. Yes it will give protection for only ten years and its been 12 to 14 years so you are out of protection of from the virus. You have to think about other options like prevention of mosquito bites and others.
