Can You Please Give Me A Details About Kidney Transplantation
hello doctor , my father is suffering from diabetise and BP also his both the kidneys are failed and working only 10% i just wann know that whether its right to transplant kidney at the age og 50+ ....i dont have any idea even knowledge about kidney transplantation...can you please suggest me what should i do? whether to transplant or the way dialysis ?

Kidney transplant is the best option in case of bilateral kidney failure. Dialysis is temporary measure, which will be needed with gradually increasing frequency and ultimately fail to improve the condition of the patient.
The problem with kidney transplant is, it's availability. If kidney is available, kidney transplant is certainly recommended.

Hello.Welcome.there is no problem of the age with your father and you must go ahead with kidney transplant as dialysis can't be done for ever.Your faher's brother or sister or you your brother,or your sister or your mother can donate his kidney.If they are not matched and you have money to spend you can go to Singapore or China where laws permit you to buy kidney from any body.Start working on these lines you will be successful.Good luck.
