Cause And Cure For Rashes Behind Both Ears

Hi; my 10 year old daughter woke up this morning with a slight rash behind both ears, and it is now worse behind the ears. She said they are not itchy, not warm, she has no fever, feels fine otherwise. The rash has down her neckand across her shoulder blades. She has had a cough for about 2-3 weeks which is not really getting either better or worse. Any ideas??

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to viral infection like roseola or rubella (if not vaccinated) or seborrheic dermatitis or local infection. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Drink plenty liquids and apply dermadew aloe cream locally. If symptoms not improved please consult with your pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
