Cause For Blister On The Back Of The Throat?

Hi, my daughter is sick. She had a pus pocket on her tonsil yesterday and said she expressed it. She didn t feel too bad, but this PM noticed that she has blisters in the back of her throat . She went to the Urgent Care this PM and her quick strep was negative. I m sure they did a 24 hr culture also but she did not know. I was just going to check the symptom checker to look for other possibilities and this popped up. Sorry, didn t know I had to pay. I will search more on my own first and await the 24 hr strep result

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your daughter having infective tonsillitis which causes the blisters to appear on the posterior pharyngeal wall too.
She can have constitutional symptoms too.
I would advise you the following for her.
Continue the antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines along with a PPI like Omeprazole till she is cured, irrespective of the reports.
Also ask your daughter to take a soft bland diet or plenty of liquids orally to maintain hydration.
Bed rest helps faster recovery.
