Cause For Mucous Leaking Out Of The Anus?
hi, im caring for my 101 year old grandfather whom is quite well but lately he is afraid to get up and move around because when he does clear white mucous leake out his anus almost every time. I want him to go see the dr but he refuses, think he is afraid he wont be coming back home. Any suggestions I can try that may help or explanation to why this is happening?

Hi. Nice to know the care you are having. The usual reason for this is impacted hard feces causing the mucus only discharge. another reason can be a mass or something inside. Whatever his wish, one examination by a Surgeon - per rectal examination can help to find out the exact reason. By the time he is getting ready give him a Practoclyss ( phosphate)enema. may solve the problem
