What type of allergies cause swollen neck glands ( left side of neck becomes twice the size of normal) - my 5 year old son had his tonsils and adenoids out when he was 3, he is now nearly 6 and has been having these symptoms for approx. 12 months with continuous hay fever symptoms
The neck swelling may not be due to the allergies, rather it may be due to an infection of the tonsils. The lymph nodes ( glands ) in the neck enlarge in a chronic infection of the tonsils/ throat. Please meet your ent doctor for further examination and advice! Thanks
