My 23 year old son noticed that the right areola was tender to the touch, he then put pressure on the areola (squeezed lightly like a pimple) a small amount of clear liquid came out. We wiped it , it was not sticky and did not have any odor. This happened 3 times in a row. This just happened now. A few days ago he noticed a tenderness in his left armpit for one day. Now he says it is tender on the right armpit. Any suggestions?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I can understand his problem, if it is tenderness then the chances of infection is likely, if the tenderness developed due to the squeezing then it might not be infection but it could be due to the hormonal changes that is nothing to worry but for the painful condition, he has to be given "Ibuprofen 400 mg three time in day this will give good response, if I would be his doctor then I would initially treat him with anti-inflammatory drug, if it fails to response then I would add the anti-biotic drugs, now never touch the area or squeeze it, this will be come around soon take care and have nice day.
