Cause Of Itchy Bumps On Mons Veneris After Shaving?
Hi. I noticed two days ago ( after shaving) that i had bumps on my mons veneris (I think that's the name). They were itchy, I thought maybe it was ingrown hairs but I've never had one. Today, it seems to have more little bumps around them, like a rash. I can see the hair but I have no clue what it is. I put vagisil on it because they itch. Can you please help me figure out what this is?
I am so sorry to hear about these bumps. From the information you have provided, this is most likely after shave folliculitis which is often provoked by the irritation and minor injuries to the pubic area. The best thing to do is just to keep it clean and airy. Also, avoid constantly manipulation it as this can make it worse. It would get over without the need of any aggressive medical intervention. When you next shave, avoid shaving very low to avoid a similar rash from reoccurring.
I hope this helps and addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Feel free to ask fr more information if need be and clarifications. Thanks for using our services. Dr.. Ditah, MD.
