I have had a sore throat for 15 days. Went to a general dr. And she did a strep test that turned out negative (day 6 into this.). But this is day 15 and 8 STILl have a sore throat with a cough hat night. When I look at my throat with a magnified mirror I see little red dots on the sides of my throat with tiny tiny white dots n the center. What can you help me understand what this is?
Hi Welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears that you have a throat infection, the sore throat. Your doctor has examined for strep throat, and when it is not there he left you untreated, i think. Though not the strep throat it must be treated. I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms erythromycin, phenylephrine ,citrizine, and paracetamol. Most important is i advise you to gargle with luke warm salt water two times a day. Avoid taking fruits, juices, ice water, ice cream, and the things allergic to you. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
