I noticed a long bruise under my upper arm yesterday. I do not remember doing anything to it to cause it. To night it has gotten twice as long, from my elbow up about 5 inches to my armpit and I notice a small spot (light in color at this point) closer to where my elbow bends. It is on the inside of my arm.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. Spontaneous bruising without any history of trauma could indicate an underlying bleeding disorder. I suggest that you get a blood test done to look for platelet count, bleeding time, clotting time and prothrombin time. The chances of bruising is more if you are on anticoagulants like aspirin. Hope this helps you. Take care.
