Causes For Having Varying Blood Pressure With Dark Urine And Unable To Get Sleep
My Girlfriend has had a BP of 85/60, up and down a few points on both sides, for 6 months. She has not been able to sleep, her urine is darker than lemonade, the sun (Bright lights) hurt her eyes. I'm making her hydrate with water and cut off coffee. She is considering sleeping pills. I told her not to until we can get her blood work and in front of a doctor. Should we be concerned if she cant get seen until March 2014? Bill
Hello Mr.Bill The blood pressure is very low ( 85/60 mm of Hg ) particularly when dark color urine is also passing . Self medication is dangerous . As in such type of cases I advise my patient to get in blood for serum creatinine to rule out any kidney involvement . Also get in ultrasound to rule out any stone ( calculus ) in urinary tract system as dark colored urine is a characteristic feature of calculus . In my opinion consult an UROLOGIST and get his opinion as this is a cause of concern . Sometimes dehydration also develop such type of symptoms particularly in summer ( hot & humid ) . Good luck.
