Cellulitis, Swelling, Itching, Bumps On Hand, took Amoxicillin 500mg. Healing Time?

I think i have a form of Celulitis on my hand. I have swelling and itching and small bumps. It has gotten progressively worse since I cut my hand a few days ago. It could also be a form of poison ivy since I reached into the rough on a golf course to pick up my ball..I tried using topicals and actually took a few antibiotics (Amoxicillin 500 mg) left over. It has become so uncomfortable, it actually awoke me out of my sleep. My clinic opens at 8am, I will go there ASAP. What else can I do until then> Thank-you!

Hello,

Cellulitis is bacterial infection of the subcutaneous tissue(Mostly fat). If uncontrolled with systemic antibiotic it tends to spread thought the subcutaneous plane. It may cause pus, ulcer and sepsis.
Apply a crepe bandage to the area and keep the part in the raised position and consult your doctor and get treated with systemic antibiotics.
