Central Part Of Retina Torn Out, Hazy Vision. Taking Glo-eye. What Are The Chances Of Recovery?
i am 72an protect my left eye years old.in my right eye the central part of retina is torn out and curled upwards.i went to see the eye specialist after test it was found that retina tear out.all objects look smaller.doctor spoke even after operation,recovery shall be 20% only.also eyes are always watery thus vision is little hazy.how i canl stablise vision.i am also taking glo-eye herbal medicine.please suggest about operation and control of tears flow. regards satya paul
Hello, It seems from the history that you are having problem involving the macula of the retina. Macular surgeries are complicated ones with unpredictable visual outcome. You can contiune taking gloeye tablets as these are basically antioxidants and helpin preventing damage to macula of the retina. But I still advice you to undergo surgery as you may be able to get some useful vision according to your doctor. You need to undergo examination to look for causes for watering as retinal problem will not cause watering. Thank you
Hi... Thanks for the query.. Are you a diabetic? The vision after the retinal detachment is always guarded... It depends on the duration since the detachment.. Watering could be related to the strain or a blockade of a naso lacrimal duct (requires evaluation) Keep continuing the gloeye tablets which help to keep the retina protected from oxidative damage. Keep going for regular consultations.. Take care...
