Changed Birth Control From Aviane To Gildess, Missed Period. Is This A Normal Reaction?

I have a question about my birth control. I recently changed from the birth control Aviane, of which I was on for almost a year, to the birth control Gildess Fe 1/20 and since then I have missed a period and am still late on the second one. Is this a normal reaction to the change in birth control?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Contraceptive pills can lead to menstrual irregularity.
Absence of withdrawal bleeding can be due to that.
Changes in the doses of the pills can also lead to irregularity.
If you used the pills as per the guidelines, there is less possibility for pregnancy.

If you missed any pill in previous pack, there is possibility of pregnancy.
In that case, once go for pregnancy test.
If the test comes negative, no need to worry.
You can continue with your pills as usual.
Take care.
