Chest Congestion, Ears And Nasal Blocking On Sitting In AC, Severe Mucus. Suggestions?

I have been suffering from chest congestion since 1st oct,12. My ears and nose gets totally blocked when I sit in an AC room.I have a stuffy head and bad cougf and cold with mucus . I have been taking Ambrolite-S syrup,Rinifold Capsules,and some medicines given by my family doctor. Today is 25th Oct,12 I am much better but with a little cold and cougf and terrible body ache. Pl. suggest.

Thanks for your query.

Your words suggest that you were having respiratory tract infection.
May be you are having another attack of viral upper respiratory tract infection.
Blood investigations and throat swab culture sensitivity will confirm the diagnosis.

Start warm saline gurgling four times daily for five days.
Take plenty of citrous fruits and plenty of fluids.
Have vitamin C 500mg tablet once daily for a week.
Take levocetrizine 5 mg tablet twice daily for five days.
Take paracetamol500mg tablet twice daily for three days and thereafter sos.
Continue the cough syrup you are taking.
