Hi Thanks for using HCM.
You developed sore in chest and sore throat only after the fall during rugby tournament. Sore in chest may be due to musculoskeletal injury you had while playing , If there is any localised swelling, sound while moving, restricted action then get done one chest xray AP view to rule out any fracture ribs. Other wise topical diclofenac gel, warm compression and tablet aceclofenac with muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone will help you in reducing pain. The sore(dry) throat may be due to acid reflux happened when you fell on ball or due to infection. If no other inflammatory signs take Tab Pantoprazole with ondonsetron for reducing acid reflux and do salt water gargle twice a day. Hope i answered your question. Wish you good health.
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. Your description suggests that you could have sustained a soft tissuecontusion (propably intercostal myalgia) or a minor rib injury which typically produces pain on movement of the rib cage. * avoid lying on the injured side * Use some analgesic antiinflammatory medicines * Apply pain kiler gels locally * Ice compressions If it is not resolving over time, consult your physician. Hope this helps
