hi i am 28 year old female ive been having chest pains for almost three weeks now when that stops i have a dull ache in my left shoulder and when that goes away i feel like my throat is in a constant spasm and it all alternates, it stopped for about two days but i thought the med. my dr. gave me was working the only thing i have done differently is i started spray painting again and the pain came back and i was doing this before when the pain started too, could this be related or do you know?
Hi
Thanks for your query
See i think your symptoms is related to your spray painting and occupation asthma may be a possibility or there may be chemicals used for painting related chest disorder.
So isuggest you a panel of investigation to reach your diagnosis -
1. chest x-ray PA view
2. ECG
3. Spirometry with bronchodialator reversibility on and off your job i.e. donig twice - one while in your job and other while you are away from your job
4. If chest x-ray abnormal then a high-resolution CT scan (HRCT) should be done
5. complete hemogram.
Consult a pulmonologist for getting locally examined and do continue the medications which gave you the comfort.
Thank you.
