Chest Pain, Tingling Feeling In Fingers, Migraines, Headaches. Family History Of Strokes. Treatment?
Sometimes I feel as though my heart is pushing out through my chest and it really hurts. I have been getting tingling feelings in the tips of my fingers for example if I knead flour or wash the dishes. I have always suffered migraines and headaches and my mom had a stoke when she was 29. I just turned 24 and recently had a baby.
Hi,
Migraines are a type of headache that are characterized with uni-hemispheric pain in the head. That is to say, the pain is localized to one side of the head. They are usually preceded by an Aura (Visual Disturbances like seeing stars), hallucinations, weakness on one side of the body and almost always cause Photophobia (irritation to light), Otophobia (irritation to noise), nausea and/or vomiting.
Migraines are also associated with an increased risk of stroke. They are cause by widening of the blood vessels of the brain. If you have a migraine, then you would have a headache. The heart symptoms that you describe are more consistent with anxiety. Have you been worried about something lately? Also, do you have neck or shoulder pain?
In my opinion, you should see your physician to rule out any neck problems and discuss any anxiety or stress that you may have.
