hi there, i am Joe and i jz had my third time of chest xray but the results are still vague to me. The first xray says i hav minimal pulmonary tuberculosis, and i could hardly beliv it becoz i never smoked. the doctor advised me to take Refampicin Isoniazid Pyrazinamid Ethambutol, and without further questions i took the medication and i am now in the 4th week of taking it.

Continue the same prescription for one more month and then continue Rifampicin and Isoniazid for another 4 months. That will complete the treatment.You will feel better, gain weight and appetite increases,once you are cured. Thanks for query on HCM. Only smoking is not the cause for TB. Other investigations are necessary like sputum test for 3 consecutive days,tuberculin skin test,pcr test to confirm the diagnosis. Continue current medicines and complete the course 6 to 9 months to prevent the recurrence. Also take b12,folic acid supplement. Keep regular follow up with your doctor to confirm the progress of disease and review the medicines.
