Chest X-ray Shows 'co-relate Clinically To Rule Out Pleural Effusion.' Explain
I did my chest X-ray today .... and the report mentions .... "Haziness seen in right lower zone, mostly artifactual. Heart and Aorta appear normal in size, Bony thorax is normal. The domes of diaphragm appear normal. Impression - Co-relate clinically to rule out pleural effusion. What should i do further to treat myself ??
The xray summary states that they want the doctor to confirm , by physical examination, that there are signs or symptoms related to a pleural effusion.
Pleural effusion refers to fluid that builds up between the pleura which are layers of tissue that are outside of the lung. If it is suspected via examination , you doctor will need to determine the cause by removal of some of the fluid.
There are many possible causes of pleural effusion and treatment depends on the cause.
I hope this helps
