Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The xray summary states that they want the doctor to confirm , by physical examination, that there are signs or symptoms related to a pleural effusion.

Pleural effusion refers to fluid that builds up between the pleura which are layers of tissue that are outside of the lung.
If it is suspected via examination , you doctor will need to determine the cause by removal of some of the fluid.

There are many possible causes of pleural effusion and treatment depends on the cause.

I hope this helps
