Child. Circle, Red Spot On Abdomen With Little Scabs After Applying OTC Foot Fungus Cream. Possible Ringworm?
my 10 yr old son has a spot on his abdomen - about the belt line. Started small red circle about 1/4", we put a bandaid on it, now it has grown to over a quarter size circle. Possible ringworm, but the spot is now starting to scab a little with OTC foot fungus cream. No more bandaids and have been applying cream for 3 days, since light scabbing havent seen much improvement.
I am sorry to hear of this rash on the tummy of your son.
From its description, it is most likely a fungal infections as you rightly suggested. Symptoms and progression will generally regress within a week. I will like that you continue the current medication and be patient before evaluating on its efficacy.
