hello sir,
my son is 2 yrs old.. he always have a thoart problem.. i dont give him any cold things like juices, icecream but eventhough he get wat u called in urdu "gale kharab" because of which he colud not able to take food..
plz advice wat should i do... i m very much worried because of this problem..
the doctor suggest zatofen for 3 months.. should i give him or not..

Hope you are doing good. Sore throat is an infection caused by a specific type of bacteria, Streptococcus. When your child has a sore throat, the tonsils are usually very inflamed, and the inflammation may affect the surrounding part of the throat as well. Other causes of sore throats are viruses and may only cause inflammation of the throat around the tonsils and not the tonsils themselves.
you should do throat culture to determine the nature of the infection. To do this, he will touch the back of the throat and tonsils with a cotton-tipped applicator and then smear the tip onto a special culture dish that allows strep bacteria to grow if they are present.
But usually its bacterial in kids , so you should use Antibiotics like Augmentin , paracetamol syrup ZATOFEN wont work in this senario it’s very important that she take it for the full course, as prescribed, even if the symptoms get better or go away.

hi,
it is not advisable to give zatofen for child of 2 yr age for 3 months. one of the reason would be water quality, may be hyper-chlorinated water, so test chlorine level in water and also test immune status of your child.

avoid giving zatofen for 2 yr old child.
