What Causes High BP After Taking OTC Drugs For Cough And Sore Throat?

after being sick with cough and sore throat I went into a emergency center they told me my blood pressure was over 200 they brought it down and put me on medication prior to getting sick I had my meniscus worked on and put on heavy medication I took over the counter medication hoping for my cough and sore throat to get better is it possible taking over the counter medication, plus my pain medication that it could have put my blood pressure high I have never had blood pressure readings over 135-140 in stressful situations

Regarding your experience cough and sore throat with a high blood pressure following intake of over the counter drug and pain drug for meniscus repair I am suggesting you have developed asymptomatic hypertensive disease

In view of this please continue with your antihypertensive medication and check your blood pressure regularly
