Child. Low Grade Fever With Throwing Up. History Of HINI In Family. Should Tamiflu Be Given?
My daughter has a low grade fever and is slightly lethargic, she threw up this am. Many members of the family just had the flu and some were diagnosed with h1n1. Last week her pediatrician gave her tamiflu just in case she got it. We live in Africa which means it could also be a number of other things. Should we give her the Tamiflu now?

Child. Low Grade Fever With Throwing Up. History Of HINI In Family. Should Tamiflu Be Given?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Tamiflu is to be given after the consultation and with the prescription of her pediatrician. It is a prescribed drug and it should be given prophylactically to prevent the infection with flu under the supervision of the doctor only. For fever you can give paracetamol in prescribed dose. Consult the doctor for physical examination and for the prescription of medication for her fever and vomitings. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
