Child. Severe Pain In Calf Area. History Of Vomiting And Bodyache. Diagnosed Viral Infection. Serious?

My Child had an epsode where she was throwing up for 2 days and then started complaining about her body and legs hurting. We took her to the doctor who diagnosed a viral infection. The vomiting and cold like symptoms have stopped but her legs are still hurting. She is complaining about the pain in the calf area. They are hurting so bad that she has difficult walking. I have not seen her in so much pain. I hope it is not something serious. Any ideas to what is causing the pain?

hello
As your child have vomiting. but how many time you didnt mention about it.
in the severe vomiting there is chances of electrolyte imbalance . the pain like this followed by vomiting is usually due to electrolyte imbalance .
if pain is persisting you will have to for serum electrolyte analysis.
and consult to a doctor
