Child Avoids For Urination, Passing Stools Comfortably. Suggestion
Hello Dr, i have a girl child who is four year old. she always avoids going for urination , though she is always comfortable in passing her stools . She avoids going to toilet till it is out of her control to hold on more. Even in toilet , we feel that at times she holds on and does not empty her bladder completely. Now she has started going to school and this problem of her is really concerning us.

Child Avoids For Urination, Passing Stools Comfortably. Suggestion
Hi, Thanks for writing to health care magic. Holding on to pass urine suggests that the child may be having pain while passing urine which could be because of various causes like infection. Initially get basic investigations like urine routine examination etc done. They may point to infection of the urinary tract. Also a local examination may suggest local excoriation of skin which may lead to pain while passing urine and avoiding urination. Hope this helps. take care
