Child Complaining Of Stomach Pain, Vomiting, Red Spots All Over Face, Swollen, Not Allergic. Cause And Cure?
My daughter(5yrs) was complaining of stomach pain and was vomiting yesterday. Eventually it passed and the vomiting went away. Today (next day) she woke up and she had red spots like a rash all over her i noticed it on her face mainly kind of swollen.. She has never been allergic to anything and i don't know why this is happening to her. She is not vomiting now just itching a rash and stomach pain.. Please help.
Acute urticaria will have well defined raised wheals in various shapes and they are transient. They are usually very itchy.
Exanthematous rash is diffuse, blanches on pressing with your finger, usually non itchy, if itching is there it is usually mild. It usually starts over the face and progresses downwards. It subsides by itself. Application of calamine lotion frequently will soothe the skin and decrease itching.
Hope this helped.
Take care

Child Complaining Of Stomach Pain, Vomiting, Red Spots All Over Face, Swollen, Not Allergic. Cause And Cure?
Hello, From your history it looks like your daughter is having either exanthematous rash or acute urticaria. The cause for both can be the Gastrointestinal infection she had. Acute urticaria will have well defined raised wheals in various shapes and they are transient. They are usually very itchy. Exanthematous rash is diffuse, blanches on pressing with your finger, usually non itchy, if itching is there it is usually mild. It usually starts over the face and progresses downwards.
