Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for the query.
All the newborns are pink and rosy because of a high Red blood cells and heamoglobin.
The color of newborn changes in the first few weeks because of thin and transparent skin.
Also the color would depend on the parents.

I would request you to relax and wait a few weeks say 6-10weeks for the actual color of skin to appear.

Bye
Take care.

Cardiologist Dr. Anantharamakrishnan's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

It is too early to judge the future skin tone of the child
All newborns appear bright ...
Skin colour is a complex inheritance trait and can't be predicted from a parent's colour...
Has the jaundice cleared?

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck

Hello dear
Dont worry at all , As you explained about neonatal jaundice, so initially pale and later dar complexion is normal . Now once the bilirubin level will become stable colour will start improving. If possible give stress on massage of baby with olive oil.Rest why to fear when god is there.
Best
