Child Falling Asleep At School, Sores On Arms, Legs, Bleeds When Scratched.Nail Bed Red. On Yasmin. No Abnormalities In Sleep Test. Solution?

Hi, My foster daughter came to us almost a year ago. We took her for a scheduled sleep study because she complained of falling asleep in school often. We felt it was environmental, from her unstable homelife. The sleep test showed no abnormalities. She still falls asleep during school quite often, especially when taking tests. Recently she has been having unexplained sores show up on her arms and legs which don t heal well, sometimes itch, and bleed when scratched. I also have noticed that her nail beds often look very red. She is a red haired, freckled, 17 year old girl. The only medication she takes is Yasmin, and occasionally melatonin to help her sleep.

Hi,
You should test her for obstructing adenoids.
Some times adenoids low the oxigen in the body and simulate sleepeness.
You must consult a ENT specialist.
