Child Gets Eruptions Of Cold Sores, Leave Scars. How Can I Prevent This?
I have an adopted daughter that is 10 years old and she gets eruptions of cold sores so bad that they leave scars. Our family physician put her on 90 MI Acyclovir sus 200/5ML and it does seem to keep the occurrences down but not the severity. I need to find a way to prevent this or at least lessen the severity so she doesn't have scars for the rest of her life. Any suggestions?

Hi, Your adopted daughter is having herpes simplex. It is viral infection caused by herpes simplex virus. It occurs repeatedly. It heals with minor scars. When the immunity is poor, the lesions may occur. So, her immunity should be raised. That can be done by immunobusters. Healthy food should be given. Vitamines and minerals shoud be given. Relapse of herpes simplex is to be prevented. You contact dermatologist or paediatrician. I hope you got my answer. Regards. Dr. Ilyas Patel MD
