Child Gets Urine Tract Infections, Kidney Scan Normal. Help
hi my 10 year old daughter keeps getting urine tract infections,she has been getting then since she was 4 years old,she has been to loads of different doctors and they can t see the reason to why she s getting them,she had a scan of the kidneys and come back normal,please help .it hurt s her the hole time when using the toilet,she has no tempature,or is not sick in anyway.please help

recurrent urinary tract infection is a worrying problem.The commonest cause is an anatomical defect which will be detected by an intravenous urogram, DMSA scan,DTPA scan or ultrasonography. Other than that abnormal toilet habits, less water intake maybe a cause.Regular water intake,regular voiding habits and good hygiene should help.Get an advice from a good pediatric nephrologist if possible.Alkasol mixed water will take care of the burning sensation.Hope this answers your query.Wishing your child a speedy recovery.Have a nice day.
