does your child have fever during all these episodes?



Is there any family history of bronchial asthma or allergy?



Was ever a broncho dilator prescribed and was there any improvement with that?





If a child of 4yrs is having cold through out the year it could because of nasal allergy.

Continuous cold is due to allergic rhinitis, and some children with this have hyper reactive airway disease which is the cause for wheezing.
Repeated wheezing and cough may be due to asthma.
Do you have any family history of asthma?
Any history of atopic dermatitis or eczema?
Did child need frequent nebulization with bronchodilators?
These are important to assess the reasons for his wheezing.

Hi m Mrs vasumathi, welcome to Health care magic forum. If your baby is getting cold from the age of less than 1 year, it is not a problem, he will be cured of it before the age of 6 years. If it started after the age of 1 or 2 years, it is critical and could be dragged for life.
In the latter case it is due to allergy and caused by foods, or external allergens like, dress, soaps, dusting powders, etc.
You can find out the things for which the child is allergic, by noting every thing he uses say soap, powder, and foods and drinks he take, and try to find out the things he used before the day of starting infection. Next time if the things he used are same you can avoid them , to avoid cold attacks.
Ofcourse treatment remains the same always, there are new drugs available now for preventing the severity of the allergy, as MONTELECAST. which can be used with promising results.
