Child Given Augmentin, Turned Yellow Due To Not Keeping In Fridge. Can It Still Be Used ?
Hi doctor, My 6 years old son were given augmentin and we forgot to put the medicine in the fridge for 24 hours because we travel back to Indonesia. It turns yellow and we have to wait several days to get it again from Singapore. But doctor says should finish the dosage. Shall we continue using or stop since we already skip 2 dosage?

Child Given Augmentin, Turned Yellow Due To Not Keeping In Fridge. Can It Still Be Used ?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. The antibiotic should be given at a stretch for a course of prescribed duration without missing the dose. Augmentin suspension should be kept in fridge after reconstitution. I advise you to continue the doses as prescribed. If it is not possible to keep in fridge, you can give him the tablet form which can be dissolved in water and can be given orally. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
