Child Got Stomatosis And Tonsillitis, Being Treated With Cefixime +oxfloxacin, Having Mouth Ulcers. Cure?
My 8 year son has got stomatosis and tonsilitis . Is being treated with cefixime +oxfloxacin tablets. He is having mouth ulcers now though the redness and inflammation of throat is reducing slowly. He is having swollen gums after the cefixime treatment and cannot eat as it hurts during swallowing. Should I discontinue the antibiotics that are on for the last 3 days and start bcomplex (becosules) now.
I would suggest you to continue the course of antibiotics. Apply Dologel oral ointment topically over the ulcers to give soothing effect. Also start with multivitamin suplements and pain killers. Go for symptomatic treatment of complete mouth scaling and polishing. Avoid junk and fried food. . Take lukewarm saline gargles 3-5 times a day. Maintain a good oral hygiene, drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated.
Hope this helps out.
Regards...
