Child Has A Swollen Jaw And Neck. On Antibiotics. No Improvement. Cure For Symptoms?

My grandson has a swollen jaw and neck (looks like mumps). We went to the doctor and he recommended to bring him to the oral surgeon however it's not his teeth. I was told to take him to the ENT however he said to wait for 10 day however my grandson has been on antibiotics for over 8 days. The swelling has not gone down. Is there a blood test to confirm what is wrong? I'm bringing him back to the hospital tomorrow

Hello,
In the details produced, the age of child has not mentioned .
Swollen jaw and neck may be due to TMJ dislocation/ sinusitis/impacted wisdom tooth/decayed or periodontally infected tooth.
A thorough clinical as well as radiological evaluation is required in this case.
Maintain oral hygiene well.
Visit a dentist as well as ENT surgeon for further concern.
Hope this helps.
