Child Has Blurred Vision, Arms And Legs Are Heavy. Hands Locks In Claw Like Position. Cause?
My daughter gets blurred vision, feels like she's going to faint and the her arms and legs get very heavy and numb where it takes too much effort to move them. And sometimes her hands will lock into a claw like position. Thus continues for a couple hours then she is fine. Her CAT scans, MRI and blood tests all come back with nothing abnormal. What could be causing the episodes?

excepting blurring of vision all other symtoms fit into tetanic spasms (deficiency of ionic calcium)
a trial of IV calcium with the advice of your pediatrician will help
an EEG may be done to exclude seizure disorder
