Child Has Bruises On Lumbar Spine. Cause?

I have a 15 month old daughter and recently we ve noticed that occasionally (when sh goes to her grandparents house to stay for the weekend) she comes back with light bruises about the size of an adult fingerprint over her lumbar spine . They usually heal in a couple days and don t appear to cause any discomfort. We thought maybe someone was picking her up incorrectly or were wearing bulky rings but we ve been unable to determine a cause. I was wondering what the possible etiology of this could be. Thanks.

those may be due to some sort of physical trauma while playing or holding the child . At the same time child should be observed closely in grandparents house to find out any child abuse in rare occasion.
