Hi Sir , I am monisha from Hyderabad . My daughter is 8 Months old . She is suffering from cold , cough and fever from last four days . Today we went to doctor he advised to take chest x ray . We took it and it shows that RT lower zone in the medial one third shows prominent Broncho vascular Markings . What does it mean actually ? is it a curable thing ? I am so worried sir . Please give me the advice
hello there,
there is nothing to worry about in this case. prominent bronchovascular markings is a normal finding in medial 1/3rd of lung fields and so consider it a normal report and don't try to read between the lines.
the only thing you have to take care is about some danger signs like, respiratory difficulty, intractable coughing, cyanosis, high grade fever not responding to regular antipyretics, excessive ittitability or lethargy.
so rest assured and follow the prescriptions of your pediatrician.
hope my advice helps you
wish speedy recovery of your daughter
regards
Dr. Amit Kumar
