Child Has Diarrhea, Vomiting, Blood In Vomit. Taken Pepto

Hi my 6 year old son has had diarrhea since Friday. It is now Monday night. His last pepto was Friday night and he has been vomiting regularly since Friday night. Also there was a small amount of blood in his vomit on Saturday. My main concern is that he still has black diarrhea even though it ha been days. Should I be concerned?

Dear Friend
Thanks for using Health Care Magic

I read your concern and it is very important to take your son to ER and consult a pediatric gastroenterologist as early as possible as black coloured diarrhoea is due to upper Gastro intestinal bleeding .
If left untreated at earliest there is chance for reduced blood level and lead to tiredness and fatigue .

I suggest you to get treated at earliest.
Avoid Drugs unless prescribed by Doctor .

Hope this information is useful, please feel free to ask if you have any queries.
Regards
