Would like some input to help put her mind at ease.
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum,
These bowel habits are normal for this age group of children especially when the diet is changed. Do not worry. Make sure she takes lots of water and liquid diet, she will get well soon. Take care of the urinary tract infection if it recurs. Hope she gets well soon.
Hello, golden stools are a normal phenomena in a child who is on mother's milk. So this is certainly not a cause of concern for any member of the family. Urinary track infections are more common in girls than boys beyond one year of age and a thorough work up is indeed required which was done in your grand daughter. Personal hygiene is what is required. Teething does cause some distress in infants and a mild analgesic can be given in such situations. Teething begins around 6 months of age and I hope your gran daughter already has a few glistening white teeth :)
