Hi, my 13 months old child has had fever since friday... the doctor adviced crocin initially but since the fever was reoccurring at an interval of 4 hours, she switched to Meftal P....The fever is not coming back in 6 hours & the max is 101.5 in last 3 days..now today morning..there are small few pinkish spots on this back? could this be Dengue or side effect of Meftal P..?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Pinkish spots on his back may be due to viral rash or could be a skin rash caused by meftal-p.

Stop giving meftal at present, and for fever you can continue crocin in prescribed dose.

And consult the pediatrician for the examination of rash and to investigate depending on physical examination.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
