Child Has Red Rash Near Mouth. Applied Canestan Cream, Fucidin. Natural Remedy?

Hi my six month old has broken out in a red spotty rash around his mouth (very tiny spots). The doctor prescribed canesten hc cream which really dried out his face and made it red like a burn mark. I went back and they prescribed fucidin which after six days is not clearing up in fact it's actually getting worse on one side of his cheek. He is dribbling a lot and has a pacifier. I also changed his milk about a month ago from aptimal one to aptimal three which is a follow on milk. Should the doctor have given him canesten hc cream? What do you think it may be? Ate there any natural remedies?
