Child Has Throat Infection. Prescribed Switch, Toxolite. Vomiting

hello Doctor, My daughter is been suffeirng from throat infection from last night, we took her to the doctor today, he prescribed her switch 50=5ml, and toxolite, 5 ml. we feed her rice, gravy, ans her favourite chicken sausages , just half a piece, but eventually just some time back , she vomittted it all out, even water,and now i am worried about what should i feed her, she is 15 months and her weight is 8.750 kg.

Dear Hosanna,

I am assuming that your daughter is about 2-5 years old.

It appears that you have fed your ill child a lot of inappropriate food, and hence she vomitted. Please give her no more than soup, light food (such as rice, toast dipped in milk, boiled egg, etc), and perhaps a small bar of chocolate occasionally. The medicines you are using also can produce vomiting, not just the illness. Her weight seems to be all right.
