Child Has Watery, Swollen Eyes, Sneezing. Given Benedryl. What To Do?

My 27 lb, 3.11 month old daughter has been suffering from allergies for over a month. It seems she is allergic to our in-laws dog, a boxer. She suffers from watery, swollen eyes and sneezing. She may also be allergic to something else (perhaps detergent or fabric softener) as she wakes up with allergies most days with a slight puffiness to her eyes. What can we do? Is there a medication or a homeopathic remedy that is safe? Is there something that we can do to be proactive? Or should we just treat the symptoms after they present themselves? Tonight I gave her benedryl allergy for kids (about 1/2 spoon) and placed a tea bag on her eye. It helped a bit. But according to the label I shouldn't be giving that to her.
Thank for any advice you can impart. I hate seeing her so uncomfortable.

ths roblem can only be ured by applying milk theory
as it states child need only breast milk for 2 tears and afer that no milk
as we add milk and diary they causeproblems as they are animal proteins which are not competible with human proteins and start giving various problems of allergy and other diseases
withdraw all milk and diary proteins completely from diet add other food and the child will be good after few wk of withdrawing milk and diay
till then you can give syp cpm and local calamine application according to age adjust dose
