Child Has White Patches Around Neck, Shoulder Arm Area, Stomach, Butt Cheeks. Does It Require Medical Attention?
Hello Dr. I have a 5 year old son about two months ago i started noticing white patches around hs neck and now I see even mre around the shoulder arm area and he is starting to get them on his tummy and his butt cheeks. I am a little worried and would like to know if this is something that should be taken to a specialist for more investigation

White spots in children can be due to dry skin condition like atopic dermatitis.
Other possible diagnosis is pre vitiligo phase.
It will be better to consult a dermatologist as early as possible.
