Child Have Been Stepping On Accidentally Near The Neck. What Can Be Symptoms For Internal Injury?
Hi,
Last night, I accidentally stepped on my 6.5months old baby son's neck area with my left foot when I lost my balance while sitting on my bed. He was sleeping on the mattress which was placed next to my bedside on the floor. He cried for a few seconds and went back to sleep again after I cuddled & soothed him immediately.
What symptoms should I look out for to know if there is any injury done to his body especially internally?

The neck is one of the sensitive area which contains vital structures in it.There are blood vessels,nerves ,food pipe & wind pipe.
In case there is injury to any of the structures then you may find following symptoms-
-Rednes or bruises over the neck
-Excessive perspiration
-Change in voice
-Difficulty with respiration
-Excessive perspiration
-Inability to take feed
If you find any of above symptoms then you should be concerned.
