Child Have Fever Once A Month Which Couldn't Be Diagnosed

My daughter is six. She has been having episodes of fever once a month for the last 6 months. Dr. says just another virus, but no other symptoms. Strep and flu test negative, urine negative for infection. Now they are suspecting an inflammatory disease, or genetic fever syndrome. What kind of doctor should I see, and what tests will help confirm or rule out these issues. Thank you.
